What is peer support?

A peer support person is someone who has been a donor or has had a live kidney transplant. They are willing to talk about what happened to them.

They hope to help people like you who are thinking of donating a kidney or having a live kidney transplant.

Peer support people understand what you are going through and the questions you might have.

Each peer support person has been specially trained to help you.

They are all volunteers – peer support people don’t get paid for their time with you. They have decided to help in this way because they want to make sure you have all the information you need.

Peer support is free!
